OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. OCD is a highly treatable mental health disorder that affects approximately 1 in 40 people around the world. People with OCD experience repetitive and intrusive thoughts, feelings, urges, or images. We refer to these as obsessions. Most of the time, these obsessions don't align with what the person is actually feeling or thinking. While everyone has intrusive thoughts that they are able to move on from occasionally, people with OCD feel these obsessions strongly to the point that they can be dangerous and cause negative feelings for the person. Because of this, the person performs compulsions, mental or physical actions to keep an unwanted event from occurring or to relieve stress. Compulsions can lead to years of strained relationships, health issues, debilitating anxiety, and even workplace issues.
ERP is a special treatment program for OCD, PTSD, Autism and Schizoaffective
Disorder. ERP is the gold standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
demonstrating significant improvement after six weeks of treatment. We also use ERP to
treat PTSD, Autism and Schizoaffective Disorder. Many patients with these mental
disorders suffer from intrusive, UNWANTED, obsessive thoughts, urges and images.

Individual therapy sessions are typically 45-60 minutes long. The length of each session may vary depending on the needs of the client.
Germs and contamination: Fear of germs, dirt, contamination, cleaning products, touching everyday things in daily life.
Harm thoughts: Fear of you causing harm to yourself or others. Harm coming to the family and others you care about. Hurting someone while driving.
Unacceptable thoughts: Repeating unwanted thoughts about sex, sexuality, violence, religion, gender, pedophile thoughts.
Relationship thoughts: Questioning, do I really love him/her/them, do they really love me, is my partner cheating on me, do I find my partner attractive. Are my friends talking about me, judging me, dont like me? Am I being left out? Would I rather be alone?
Symmetry, order, just right thoughts:The need for things to be just right, repeating behaviors/actions until it feels just right. The need for things to be in order, even, organized. Counting, touching, tapping. Rereading, checking, sending follow up messages. "Making sure" you are doing your best, using your time the most efficiently, spending money in the best, cheapest way, making decisions.
